Greetings from Ms. Reeder’s Crew! We are happy it’s October and we’re looking forward to a cool and colorful fall.
We have been working hard to learn much about Saving Our Species. We are writing found poems about Martha, the last passenger pigeon, and we have learned to draw pigeons & stylized falcons.
Currently we are researching the Peregrine Falcon. Not only are they our school mascot, they are a success story as well.
Also, during this portion of S.O.S., we will conduct bird counts and collect wetland bird migration patterns.
Our stand-alone Rocks, Fossils & Minerals case study will begin Monday, October 8.
To bring authentic learning to
this case study, we have fieldwork to The City of Rocks on Friday, October 12.
And…our crew is in charge of Mega Crew on Wednesday, October 24 @1P.M. Come and hear our expedition news & see our puppet shows.
